Kurt Scholler will retire as CEO of American Truetzschler at the end of this year.Mr. Scholler served as CEO for 21 years. The company stated, “Kurt Scholler brought profound knowledge of the American market to the company when he took over the management of American Truetzschler in 1989.Under his leadership American Truetzschler succeeded to adapt to changing market and customer needs.Kurt Scholler developed American Truetzschler from a primarily manufacturing company to a service oriented enterprise for the spinning industry.American Truetzschler today is also a successful and established company in the field of nonwoven machinery and wire products.”
Mr. Scholler was also involved in numerous trade associations, including the American Textile Machinery Association of which he was chairman from 2001 until 2003.
After leaving his present position at American Truetzschler Mr. Scholler will remain a member of the board of directors.
In the future American Truetzschler will be managed by Stefan Engel, vice president finance and administration, and Detlef Jaekel, vice president of sales, production and service. Mr. Engel comes to American Truetzschler from Sia Abrasives, a subsidiary of the Robert Bosch Company and an expert organization in the field of abrasives technology.At Sia Abrasives he was director of finance and operations at their Charlotte location. Mr. Jaekel started his career in 1965 at Trützschler in Moenchengladbach, Germany and transferred in 1975 to Charlotte.He served as vice president, technical division and was also highly involved and responsible for the implementation of the card wire business.
